COVID-19 UPDATE: GOOD NEWS! We have just learned that we will be able to open soon! We want our guests to feel safe in their accommodations. We anticipate the opening of Spruce Moose Lodge on June 26th,2020.
Please read this entire letter before you make a decision on staying with us this summer!
New Hampshire has started to reopen as of June 5th. There are many restrictions in place that will make your experience different from in the past. We have no control over this, as our Governor has done what he feels is the best for our state Residents and their guests.
New England residents, for the most part, are exempt from some of the regulations. Unfortunately this is not the same for our out of state visitors. I would recommend checking the MWV Chamber website to see what shops, restaurants and activities will be open. Currently, all dining is outside. Masks and a reservation are required. All golf courses are open to New
England residents and club members only.
Non-New England guests MUST stay quarantined in their home state / country residence for 2 weeks before coming into NH. You MUST bring a Copy of your driver’s license and signed documentation attesting that you have been in a 2 week quarantine. Most of the people have been self-quarantined, so it shouldn't be a big problem.
We are required to ask the Covid 19 Protocol Questions when you arrive. If you exhibit any symptoms, we must be cautious. We will not be able to accommodate you, and you will be asked to leave. We regret having to do this, but we are required to do this; both for the safety of our guests, ourselves and the residents of our community.
The outside Cottages and Jacuzzi Bungalows are separate from the lodge, with no access inside the lodge. No breakfast will be served for our Jacuzzi guests at this time. There will be a reduction on the rate. All meet and greets must be done outside. We are supposed to limit our time with guests. The Cottages will have keys. Unfortunately, our guests will need to bring their own pillows and pillow cases, and a few other items.
Our Lodge guests will be required to wear masks when in the building until in their rooms. There will be no housekeeping during stays. Lodge guests will also need to bring their own pillow and pillow case. We are required to prohibit guests staying in inside common areas and there will be no access to the kitchen or pantry at any time.
For Breakfast we will be preparing delicious egg sandwiches packed in bags, and we will serve coffee & juice in disposable take away cups. For the time being, Our Guests are required to eat outside. We will have set up separate stations for proper social distancing. (We are so sorry that we are not allowed to have a lovely country breakfast in the main lodge this year.)
We would love to have you stay with us, as New Hampshire is beautiful for hiking this time of year. We will be compromised for at least the summer and probably into autumn. Unfortunately, the Fryberg Fair has already been cancelled. We are sad, as this is not an ideal scenario for our guests, or us. As long as you comply with our State's Mandatory Rules, you will still be able get out of your house
to come and get some fresh air and stretch your legs! Visit North Conway and our fabulous white mountains!
If you have any questions, please call or email us! We look forward to seeing you. Sincerely, Leon and Nellie, Spruce Moose Lodge and Cottages
